Asia opened to a gap lower on the EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD and a gap higher on the USD/CAD. In short, the Dollar was in demand. It didn’t last long through and with zero data in Asia today, all the majors held tight, low volume ranges.

It doesn’t look any more promising tonight either, with little in the way of data or events slated for release tonight.

In the week before Christmas, with a lack of incentives, it’s pretty easy to say it will be a quiet night.

Expect traders to look to Omicron / Covid numbers for trading incentives.
