Expectations
Should be a funny Monday session in Europe tonight, with the USD coming into the session with a strong bid and with U.S. equities ending Friday at or near historical highs across the board.
We expect some light early profit taking on Dollar long positions, although light is the operative word, as many players will start the day expecting the Dollar bid to continue in early U.S. trade.
European equities should open firmer across the board, led higher by the gains in US stocks, which was also mirrored in Asia today.
Sterling will be the market that trades its own game tonight however, with eyes on the U.K. as to whether they will trigger the Article 16 Protocol for Northern Ireland.
The other story gaining momentum is the Telsa Boss Elon Musk went to Twitter over the weekend to poll his followers as to whether he should sell 10% of his stock. This is an interesting one and could go either way at the moment.
