FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS- 9/11/21

EUROPEAN OPEN
– Quiet session in Asia should see a quiet open to European trade
-Data tonight sees:
UK Retail Sales
Euro-zone, German and French Trade Balances
Euro-zone and German ZEW Indexes
-US session sees very little on the slate as well:
U.S. PPI data
U.S. Fed’s Powell set to speak

Tight ranges are set to continue into European trade tonight, with most players sidelined ahead of fresh cues. What traders are looking for is a tick up in inflation data to start the rate hike cycle, then we are off to the races.

European data will have little lasting impact on trade today unless its wildly away from expectations.

U.S. session tonight will focus on Powell’s speech. Other than that look for a continued grind higher in U.S. equities. Today’s U.S. 10-year bond auction could also be interesting, given it might be the last 10-year supply at these coupon rates.
